Define the development question before the deliverable
- What does CRO or CDMO support include?
- How are technical milestones defined?
- What remains market-specific?
CRO support can investigate formulation compatibility, film-matrix selection, analytical recovery, physical properties, sensory direction or a defined stability question. CDMO support connects approved development outputs with process transfer and manufacturing planning. The statement of work should identify the exact study question, materials, methods, acceptance criteria, ownership and deliverables.
| Feasibility | Ingredient identity, practical payload, matrix compatibility, processing exposure and intended market |
|---|---|
| Prototype work | Agreed formula variants, sample quantities, evaluation criteria and iteration limits |
| Analytical planning | Identity and assay methods, uniformity approach, degradation review and reference standards |
| Process handover | Mixing and casting parameters, drying considerations, in-process controls and change management |
| Stability | Protocol, conditions, timepoints, package configuration and interpretation |
| Commercial transfer | Approved formula, specification, packaging, batch identification and release-document scope |
An output you can review
A meaningful handover may include a feasibility conclusion, prototype comparison, analytical observations, an approved specification, packaging recommendations or a defined manufacturing brief. The exact documents depend on the contract and available evidence. We do not publish fabricated COAs, stability reports or project success stories.
Before work begins, agree whether the project is customer-specified OEM, configurable ODM, a bounded CRO study or a broader CDMO engagement. Confirm confidentiality, intellectual-property arrangements, sample ownership, deviations, change control and responsibilities for external testing.
